The languages that stand out in Erzurum
In the economy of Erzurum it is winter tourism, livestock farming and its standing as a university city that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.
The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Notarisation and apostille in Erzurum
If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Erzurum at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:
Notarisation
The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.
Apostille — administrative documents
For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Erzurum (or by district governor's offices in the districts).
Apostille — judicial documents
For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.
Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.
How being a university city changes what is asked of a translator
What sets Erzurum apart from the other provinces in the region is that it holds a large centre of higher education and healthcare. This makes the demand for translation run in both directions: on one side there are students and academics applying abroad, on the other there are foreign nationals who come here to study or for treatment. The first group has diplomas, academic transcripts, academic CVs and lists of publications translated; the second has civil registry, recognition and medical papers translated. On top of that come the business and event correspondence that winter tourism brings and the import and export papers of the livestock sector. Erzurum thus produces a demand that is both larger in volume and far more mixed in its types of document than that of the provinces around it. A thesis abstract and a breeding stock import file can arrive in the same week.
The range of documents that come from Erzurum
On the academic side, CVs, lists of publications, research abstracts, scholarship applications and admission correspondence come in regularly; in these, using institution names and titles consistently has a direct bearing on how the application is assessed. On the medical side there are discharge summaries, test results and treatment reports; here the rule is that medical terminology is preserved exactly and that no finding is interpreted. Tourism businesses send accommodation contracts, tour programmes and promotional texts. From livestock and food businesses come breeding stock import papers, veterinary certificates, feed analysis reports and sales contracts. Then there is a constant flow of personal documents: visa files, criminal record certificates, powers of attorney and the civil registry records required for family reunification. What these files have in common is that getting the form of approval right is more decisive than the quality of the translation.
| Group of documents | Who it comes from |
|---|---|
| Academic transcript, diploma, recognition file | Students and enrolled foreign nationals |
| Discharge summary and test report | Follow-up abroad after treatment |
| Academic CV and list of publications | Academics applying abroad |
| Veterinary certificate, import papers | Livestock and food businesses |
| Accommodation and event contract | Winter tourism businesses |
Why English, Arabic and Persian, in that order
English is the default language of academia and of applications abroad; almost every scholarship, admission and recognition file leaving Erzurum passes through it, and so do academic publications. Demand for Arabic arises from the papers of students who are nationals of Arab countries studying at the province’s higher education institutions and of families who have settled in the region – civil registry records, education certificates, residence and medical files. Persian follows directly from geography: the province is the major inland stop on the road route opening towards Iran, and both the commercial counterparties and the visitor traffic come from that direction; the papers of those arriving for treatment or for trade are drawn up in Persian. Three languages mean three different types of document and three different degrees of urgency.
Nothing in the process halts, even in winter conditions
Winter is long in Erzurum and travelling conditions are not always predictable. Scanning and uploading a document rather than handing it to a courier is therefore not merely practical, it is a choice that lowers the risk: the original stays with you and the process starts at once. Once the upload is done the price and the delivery date appear straight away; the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay. The electronically signed copy is in your hands the same day, and the wet-signed copy is brought by courier. We have no office in Erzurum; the process runs remotely from beginning to end, and that does not slow the work down. On the contrary, in the season when journeys grow longer this turns out to be the fastest method.
See what it will cost before you begin
The per-page rate is the same throughout Türkiye; the province you are in does not change the price. You can look at the starting rates by language pair on the pricing page and obtain the exact figure for your own file from the quote form. On academic or medical texts, sending us the renderings of terms you have used before improves consistency markedly; on a file with several authors this is, on its own, the most practical step there is for raising quality.
The account below is a general framework; what changes from province to province is not the tariff but only the logistics of delivery. Where you are in any doubt, it is best to put the question to the institution before you apply.
