The languages that stand out in Tunceli
In the economy of Tunceli it is livestock farming, forestry and nature tourism that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.
The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Notarisation and apostille in Tunceli
If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Tunceli at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:
Notarisation
The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.
Apostille — administrative documents
For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Tunceli (or by district governor's offices in the districts).
Apostille — judicial documents
For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.
Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.
The province whose work is run from outside it
Tunceli is one of the least populated provinces in Türkiye, and the demand for translation coming from it is low to match. To be honest about it, we are talking about a few files a month rather than a few a week. But the work that does come in has one clear thing in common: most of it is carried out on behalf of somebody who does not live in the province. Families have scattered to the big cities and abroad; the property here, the civil registry record here and the share of an estate here have stayed where they are. That is why the types of document we meet most often are powers of attorney and civil registry records. The second strand is nature tourism: small businesses that rest on the rivers and forests of the province have their promotional texts translated.
Which documents come in
The most frequent are powers of attorney, civil registry extracts, certificates of inheritance, title deed records, court judgments and pension and employment records. Most of these are drawn up so that a person living abroad can hand a procedure in Türkiye over to a relative, or for the reverse of that. Powers of attorney drafted too narrowly are a common problem; before the text is translated, it has to be read through to see which procedures it covers. The second group is individual application papers: diplomas, academic transcripts, criminal record certificates, medical reports. The third is the promotional texts, accommodation contracts and event programmes of tourism and forestry businesses.
| Document | Who it is prepared for |
|---|---|
| Power of attorney | A rightful owner living outside the province or abroad |
| Certificate of inheritance and title deed record | Inheritance and property procedures |
| Pension and employment record | Social security between two countries |
| Diploma and criminal record certificate | Study and work applications |
| Promotional and accommodation text | Nature tourism businesses |
Why German and English are asked for
Tunceli’s language profile sets it apart from its neighbours in the region, and the reason is migration, purely and simply. Settlement from the province towards Europe has built up, over the years, a dense community of fellow townspeople in German-speaking countries. Today the other leg of inheritance, pension, divorce and citizenship procedures runs there, and the office in that country wants the document in its own official language and in the form of approval it accepts; an English copy is more often than not turned away. English comes into play on the branch of that migration that reaches other countries, and in nature tourism promotion. You can compare what each country asks for on the countries page.
Problems that arise often with powers of attorney and inheritance files:
- The same person’s name has been written differently in different documents; which one is to be taken as the basis must be settled at the outset.
- The names of administrative units in old records may have changed, and these are preserved with a note of explanation.
- If the scope of the power of attorney does not cover the procedure, the process stops halfway.
- Whether the other country wants an apostille or consular approval should be found out beforehand.
The promotional texts of nature tourism
The second and growing source of demand in the province is nature tourism. Small businesses that rest on its rivers, forests and upland pastures have promotional texts, programme descriptions and booking conditions translated in order to reach foreign visitors. With these texts we watch two things: first, that the safety and participation conditions are in no way softened, since these are statements that give rise to liability later on; second, that claims about natural and cultural heritage are not overstated. A short, honest piece of promotion brings in more bookings than an ornate one. Accommodation contracts and cancellation terms call for a rigour of their own; these are handled as legal texts.
Being far away is no obstacle
Given the nature of these files, the person sending the document is often not even in Tunceli. For us that makes no difference: wherever the document is uploaded from, the process works the same way. The price and the delivery date appear the moment the upload is done; the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation and the apostille process are carried out at our office in Ankara Kızılay; the electronically signed copy reaches your email the same day, and the wet-signed copy is sent by courier to the address you give. We have no branch in Tunceli. You can upload your documents in a single batch to the quote form and see the per-page rates on the pricing page. The rate is the same throughout Türkiye; the province a document is sent from does not change the price.
This page is for guidance; courier times may vary with distance and with the carrier’s schedule. Making clear at the outset what form the institution wants saves having to do the work again later.
