Regional demand

The languages that stand out in Ağrı

In the economy of Ağrı it is cross-border trade, livestock farming and mountain tourism that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Ağrı

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Ağrı at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Ağrı (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

Sitting on a crossing point for road haulage

What defines Ağrı in translation terms is that it lies on the road route opening towards Iran. It is not only freight that passes through here; drivers, vehicles, insurance policies and permits pass through as well. For a firm in international haulage, the file for a single run consists of the vehicle registration document, the driving licence, the transport authorisation certificate, the insurance and the freight papers, and all of it has to be valid in the country on the other side. Alongside this, the province’s livestock economy produces documents of its own: veterinary certificates, feed analyses and sales contracts are required for movements of live animals and animal products. The third strand is mountain tourism – the programmes, insurance and permit correspondence prepared for foreign groups. All three arrive with a different language and a different degree of urgency.

The clusters of documents that come from Ağrı

On the haulage side it is vehicle and driver papers, transport contracts, insurance policies and damage reports that lead the way; in these documents the registration plate, the chassis number and the dates have to be carried over exactly, because the check on the other side looks at precisely those fields. On the livestock and agriculture side come veterinary health certificates, certificates of origin and buyer contracts. On the personal side there is a constant flow: civil registry records, marriage certificates, criminal record certificates, diplomas and visa files. Most of these arise from matters involving a relative abroad or from work permit applications.

The problems we meet most often in haulage papers are these:

  • Registration plate and chassis numbers carried over wrongly from an illegible scan; this is why we ask for a clear image.
  • The spelling of the driver’s name in the passport not matching the spelling on the other documents.
  • Summarising the cover items in a policy, when each item needs its full counterpart.
  • Handwritten notes added to damage reports being left out, which creates disputes later.

The reasons behind the demand for Persian, Azerbaijani and Kurdish

Persian follows here directly from the route: in the country the freight is bound for, customs, the insurers and the buyer all work in that language, and the documents the driver will present have to have their counterpart in Persian. Demand for Azerbaijani comes from the trade line running to the north-east; part of the freight leaving Ağrı or passing through it flows in that direction, and the company papers on the other side are drawn up in Azerbaijani. Kurdish is widely used in everyday communication in the region and is requested for part of the correspondence between the parties. What all three have in common is that they are required as part of a commercial or an administrative procedure. You can see our per-page rates on the languages page.

A file can be opened while you are on the road

In haulage the need for a document usually arises not to plan but out on the road: the other side asks for an extra paper, a policy has to be translated, a report is drawn up. At moments like these, going to an office is out of the question. With us a file can be opened from a photograph taken on a phone; the price and delivery date appear at once, and the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay. The electronically signed copy reaches your inbox the same day, and the wet-signed copy is couriered to your address. We have no branch in Ağrı; the service runs remotely from beginning to end, and for a firm out on the road that is the only workable method.

Getting started

Upload a legible image of your document to the quote form and let the page count, the language pair and the delivery date appear straight away. For firms making regular runs we keep the recurring document patterns and use the same renderings in later files. You can settle which type of translation you need on the services page. If you are opening a file for an urgent run, saying so on the form has a direct bearing on where it comes in the delivery queue; we know that a few hours have a real cost in haulage.
