2. Buyer’s particulars

The Buyer’s name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are those entered by the Buyer when placing the order. The invoice is issued on the basis of those details, and the Buyer is responsible for their accuracy.

3. Subject matter of the contract

The subject matter of this contract is the translation and certification services ordered by the Buyer through çeviri.tr. The scope of the service, the language pair, the number of pages, the delivery speed selected and the level of certification requested (sworn signature, notarisation, apostille) are set out item by item in the order summary and in the quotation document.

4. Service charge and payment

  • The charge is calculated on a per-page basis; one page corresponds to 1,000 characters excluding spaces, and documents shorter than one page are charged as one page.
  • Unit prices are set in euros (EUR); collection is made in Turkish lira on the basis of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye rate on the date of the transaction.
  • Prices do not include VAT; VAT at 20% is added at the payment step and shown separately on the invoice.
  • Official items such as notarisation and apostille are not revenue of the Seller, are subject to the official tariff in force, and are shown as separate items on the order.
  • Where physical delivery is selected, the courier charge is added at the payment step.
  • Payment is made by bank transfer once the order has been confirmed. Performance of the service does not begin before payment has been completed.

5. Performance and delivery

The estimated delivery date is calculated taking into account the number of pages in the document, the language pair, the delivery speed selected and the working calendar (business hours, weekends and public holidays), and is shown on the order screen. Delivery is made by e-mail for the electronic copy, and by courier to the address notified by the Buyer for the wet-signed copy. Courier times depend on the carrier’s own schedule.

Where the Buyer sends incomplete or illegible documents, requests a change of scope after the order has been placed, or is late in supplying additional papers needed for certification, the delivery period is extended by the length of that delay.

6. Right of withdrawal and the exception to it

Under the Regulation on Distance Contracts a consumer has, as a rule, the right to withdraw within fourteen days. Article 15 of that same Regulation, however, places certain contracts outside that right. For services, the relevant exception is art. 15(1)(h): services the performance of which has begun, with the consumer’s consent, before the withdrawal period has expired.

Because translation is a service, that exception takes effect the moment translation begins with the Buyer’s consent. Accordingly:

  • Where an order is cancelled before translation has begun, the full amount paid is refunded.
  • Where an order is cancelled after the translation process has begun, the charge for the portion completed up to that point is deducted and the balance refunded.
  • Items already paid to third parties, such as notarisation, apostille and courier charges, are not refundable once the transaction has taken place.

For further detail, please see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Defective service and correction

Every translation is checked by a second specialist before delivery. If the Buyer identifies an error or omission in the translation delivered, they notify the Seller; any error identified is corrected free of charge. Because altering the text after notarisation means the procedure has to be carried out again, we recommend that checking be completed before certification.

8. Confidentiality and personal data

The documents sent by the Buyer are stored in encrypted form and are accessed only by the staff working on the translation concerned. The principles governing the processing of personal data are explained on our Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice page.

9. Resolution of disputes

In disputes arising out of this contract, the Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts at the Buyer’s place of residence or at the place where the transaction was carried out have jurisdiction, within the monetary limits determined each year by the Ministry of Trade.

10. Entry into force

The contract is deemed to have been formed once the Buyer approves it electronically at the ordering step. A copy of the contract is kept with the Buyer’s order record and is accessible through their account.
