Regional demand

The languages that stand out in Erzincan

In the economy of Erzincan it is mining, agriculture and tulum cheese production that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Erzincan

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Erzincan at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Erzincan (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

The family abroad, the papers here

Most of the translation requests that come from Erzincan are shaped by a story of migration spread over decades. The families who left the province for Europe, and above all for the German-speaking countries, never severed their ties; the property here, the civil registry record here, the share of an estate here all stayed where they were. The second and third generations now handle matters such as dual citizenship, pensions, inheritance and divorce between two countries, and at every step of those matters the authority on the other side asks for an official translation. Most of the files from Erzincan are therefore not commercial but legal and administrative in character. The measure of quality in them is not fluency; it is that names, dates and family relationships are carried over faultlessly and that the chain of approval is built in the form the receiving authority requires.

Which documents arrive

The files we see most often are civil registry extracts, birth and marriage certificates, certificates of inheritance, title deed records, powers of attorney, pension and social security employment records, and court judgments. Inheritance files call for particular care: a single name spelt differently in the records that establish descent can be enough for the file to be counted incomplete in the other country. The second group is economic – the equipment import papers of mining and farming businesses, the analysis and health certificates required for exports of dairy products carrying a geographical indication, and buyer contracts. The third group is education: diploma, academic transcript and recognition files, prepared for the most part for students who will be joining relatives abroad.

These are the points where inheritance and civil registry files most often come unstuck:

  • The same person’s name turns out to be spelt differently in different documents; which spelling is to be taken as the basis has to be settled at the outset.
  • The names of administrative units that appear in older records may since have changed; these are kept as they stand, with an explanatory note.
  • The other country asks sometimes for an apostille and sometimes for consular legalisation; which of the two is needed should be established beforehand.
  • If a power of attorney has been drawn too narrowly the procedure stalls half way, so the text needs to be read closely.

Why German and English come to the fore in this province

German is needed here not as a matter of preference but because it is the official language of the countries these families actually live in. A document to be submitted to a municipal office, to a social security institution or to a court has to be in that country’s language and in the accepted form of approval; an English copy is usually turned away. English comes into play at two points: on the branch of the migration that reaches countries where German is not spoken, and in commercial matters such as equipment imports. Erzincan is a good illustration of demand for a language being determined by the history of migration rather than by geography – the province’s neighbours use other languages, yet the files leaving here look towards Europe. You can compare the form of approval required country by country on the countries page.

Finishing the job without running between two countries

With files of this kind the most wearing part is usually not the translation but the running about: obtaining the document, having it translated, having it notarised, going to a separate office for the apostille. For someone living abroad this is a process that eats up the annual leave. With us every step is completed in Ankara. You can upload the document from Erzincan or from abroad; the sworn signature, notarisation where required and the apostille process are handled by us, the electronically signed copy reaches your inbox the same day, and the wet-signed copy is couriered to the address you give. We have no branch in Erzincan; the service is built on remote intake and courier delivery.

Opening the file complete

In inheritance and civil registry matters, obtaining the receiving authority’s list of required documents in advance saves you from having the same file translated a second time. You can upload the documents you hold to the quote form in one go; the price and the delivery date appear at once, according to the page count. Per-page rates are the same throughout Türkiye and are listed by language pair on the pricing page.
