Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Burdur

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Burdur at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Burdur (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

The most distinctive part of the translation work that comes from Burdur has to do with livestock. Imports of breeding animals, the foreign supply relationships of dairy cattle businesses and the veterinary paperwork that follows from them set the province’s translation profile clearly apart from the Turkish average. The second item is the export paperwork of marble production.

What these two have in common is that in both it is we who are on the receiving end of documents from abroad. A good share of the files from Burdur are translated into Turkish: the record of a foreign breeders’ association, the report of a foreign laboratory, the contract of a foreign supplier. That in turn calls for familiarity with the source document and a knowledge of institution names and record formats.

The paperwork in importing breeding animals

A business bringing in breeding animals from abroad imports the animal’s herd book entry as surely as it imports the animal. The documents translated in this process are highly particular: pedigree and herd book records, yield records, veterinary health certificates, vaccination and test results, quarantine papers and the sales contract made with the supplier. In pedigree records the animal’s identification number, the details of its parents and its yield figures are given in tabular form, and those tables have to be carried across without their structure being disturbed.

In veterinary health certificates, in turn, the names of diseases and the test methods are written according to international terminology. These names are not freely turned into Turkish; the official equivalents are used, and where necessary the original name is kept in brackets.

The documents of marble exporting

On the marble side the files are more familiar: technical specification files, declarations of performance, laboratory test reports, quarry licences and permits, and block sales contracts. In natural stone exporting the item the buyer takes the closest interest in is the test report; figures such as water absorption, compressive strength and frost resistance have to be carried over correctly.

How English and German divide the work

There is a plain reason for the demand for German in Burdur: in the supply of breeding animals and dairy cattle equipment the documents are predominantly of central European origin, and pedigree records mostly arrive in that language. English, for its part, is the language of marble exporting, of test reports and of general commercial correspondence. The page fee is the same list for both languages; for the detail you can look at the languages page.

Equipment and hygiene documents in dairy businesses

The second item of investment that arrives with the breeding animals is equipment: milking systems, cooling tanks, feed preparation and automation units. Since almost all of it is imported, user manuals, installation and commissioning protocols, calibration instructions and warranty texts come with it. These documents bear directly on the daily running of the business.

With milking and cooling equipment the hygiene instructions matter especially. Cleaning cycles, the proportions of the chemicals to be used and the waiting times are decisive for product safety and for inspection alike. Preserving the units of measurement and the times exactly in these instructions is the most basic duty the translation has.

On the inspection side there are the business’s own records: cooling temperature logs, cleaning reports and veterinary inspection reports. Presented to milk collection centres or to buying businesses, these records generally stay in Turkish; they come into translation where exporting is involved, or where reporting is required in a business with a foreign partner.

A practical route for a small business

Most livestock businesses are family-sized, and travelling outside the province for a single import file is a serious burden. We have no branch in Burdur; but then the process does not require you to travel in the first place. You photograph the pedigree records and send them in, the page count and the fee appear at once, and the translation is completed at the office in Ankara. The electronically signed copy reaches you the same day and the wet-signed original arrives at your address by courier. If you buy regularly from the same supplier, the structure of the documents repeats and later files move more quickly.
