The languages that stand out in Batman

In the economy of Batman it is oil production, refining and agriculture that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Batman

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Batman at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Batman (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

The document discipline of the oil and refinery business

Oil production and refinery activity hold a decisive place in the economy of Batman, and that gives the demand for translation there a character of its own. In this sector a document is not a by-product of the work but a direct part of it: every piece of equipment has a calibration record, every procedure a revision number, every intervention a written report. For a plant working with a foreign supplier, translating those records becomes a regular and recurring need. The margin for error, moreover, is very narrow here; in occupational health and safety texts, a warning that has been softened can turn into a real risk on site. That is why we handle the files reaching us from Batman with technical accuracy as the first priority.

The technical documents we see most often

Most often we see equipment operating and maintenance manuals, calibration and test certificates, operating procedures, risk assessment and work permit forms, material safety data sheets, and acceptance and commissioning reports. Alongside these come tender files: administrative specifications, letters of tender, work completion and qualification certificates. A third group is commercial – supply contracts, warranty terms, service agreements. A fourth is individual: professional qualification certificates for technical staff, medical reports, diplomas and the visa paperwork prepared for assignments abroad. Product and support documents arrive regularly from the agricultural side as well.

DocumentWhy it is sensitive
Material safety data sheetWarning wording is applied on site and cannot be shortened
Calibration and test certificateMeasurement values and tolerance ranges are exact
Risk assessment and work permit formServes as evidence during inspection
Acceptance and commissioning reportBears on payment and liability towards the supplier
Professional qualification certificateAssignment and work permit applications

Why Kurdish and Arabic are asked for

Kurdish is the widespread language of everyday communication in the province; texts are requested in it for site briefings, staff announcements and some local correspondence. Arabic has two sources: on one side the trade of the region flows towards the markets to the south, where the buyer and the contractor work in Arabic; on the other, the school, civil registry and employment contract papers of families settled in the region are drawn up in that language. Technical documentation, by contrast, arrives mainly in English; since the equipment manufacturer’s language and the text of the standards being followed both sit on that axis, translation runs through English too. The rates stand on the shared list on the languages page.

The rules we apply on technical files:

  • Warnings and prohibitions are not simplified; their emphasis is preserved.
  • Units of measurement and tolerance values are not converted.
  • Equipment and part names are used with a single equivalent throughout the file.
  • Revision numbers, dates and document codes are left exactly as they are.

Workload tied to the maintenance and inspection calendar

The work reaching us from Batman is not spread evenly across the year. During planned maintenance periods and ahead of inspections the demand rises noticeably; dozens of procedures and certificates can arrive within the same week. The greatest risk in those periods is that the same documents are translated piecemeal by different people and the terminology becomes inconsistent within the file. To prevent that, we run the whole documentation of a plant from a single term list and keep the equivalents approved on earlier jobs. The team going into the inspection then sees the same naming in every document, and no needless questions arise. On repeat revisions only the sections that have changed are processed, which brings down both the time and the fee.

Upload from site, do not stop the work

It is not practical for plant and site staff to set off somewhere for a document; and most of these documents are tied to a maintenance or inspection calendar in any case. With us the process runs entirely remotely: you upload the file, the fee and the delivery date appear at once, the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay, the electronically signed copy reaches your inbox the same day, and the wet-signed copy is delivered to your address by courier. We have no branch in Batman. On manuals running to many pages, working out together which sections are genuinely needed brings the cost down. You can send your file through the quote form and look through the scope of our services on the services page.
