Software Localisation
Adapting the interface text of software or an application to the target language and to local usage.
What is translated in software localisation is not flowing prose but short interface strings, usually stripped of their context: button labels, alert messages, menu headings. Translating without regard to the space a string occupies on screen, or the position of variable fields, can break the interface.
Date, time and number formats, plural rules and keyboard shortcuts are adapted to the target language as well. A termbase and translation memory ensure the same command is referred to by a single rendering throughout the application.
On software projects, çeviri.tr attends to terminological consistency and interface fit together.
