Right-to-left Languages
Languages written from right to left, which call for particular care in translation and page layout.
In right-to-left languages the direction of the text differs from the familiar left-to-right flow. This affects not only the translation but the entire visual layout of the document; the position of headings, tables and page elements has to be reconsidered for the new direction.
Where numbers, foreign names or elements running the other way appear within the text, setting the sequence correctly demands separate attention. Translation in these languages therefore usually runs alongside desktop publishing.
