The Native-Speaker Principle
The widely held professional principle that translation should be into the translator’s native language, because that is where the most natural result comes from.
The native-speaker principle rests on the view that a translator produces their most fluent and natural text in their own first language. However strong a command of another language may be, the finer points of register, idiom and natural phrasing usually come through more powerfully in the mother tongue.
Translators with native-level command of the target language are therefore preferred, and the principle becomes decisive for texts that will be published or addressed to the public. The choice of language pair direction is weighed together with it.
çeviri.tr assigns work with the native-speaker principle in mind, so the result reads naturally.
