Target Language
The language a text is translated into — the language in which the result will be read.
The target language is the destination of a translation: the language in which the reader will experience the text. How fluent and natural the result feels is closely tied to the translator’s command of it, which is why translators with native-level command of the target language are usually preferred.
The same source text may call for cultural adaptation as it moves into different target languages. The readership of the target language shapes decisions on register and terminology.
To keep the target language reading naturally, çeviri.tr works to the native-speaker principle.
