The languages that stand out in Şırnak
In the economy of Şırnak it is border crossing logistics, mining and trade that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.
The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Notarisation and apostille in Şırnak
If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Şırnak at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:
Notarisation
The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.
Apostille — administrative documents
For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Şırnak (or by district governor's offices in the districts).
Apostille — judicial documents
For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.
Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.
The corporate file of a haulage company
The main source of demand for translation in Şırnak is that the province sits on the trade and haulage line running south. The files that come from here, though, do not consist of the paperwork of a single consignment; more often they are the corporate documents of transport and trading companies. A firm looking to take on work in the country across the border, to enter a tender or to set up a permanent representative office finds itself having to submit its registry record, its signature circular, its authorisation documents, its work completion records and its financial statements in official translation. To these are added the analysis and dispatch documents that mining activity generates. The centre of gravity of the work coming from Şırnak, in other words, is a company documenting itself rather than any single load.
Which documents come in
On the corporate side come trade registry documents, signature circulars, certificates of activity and of authorisation, work completion records, financial statements and letters confirming that no tax is owed. In tender files the administrative specification and the letters of tender go into translation as well. On the mining side there are analysis certificates, dispatch notes, customs annexes and equipment documentation. On the haulage side there are vehicle and driver documents, carriage contracts and insurance policies. On the personal side, civil registry records, marriage certificates, criminal record certificates, diplomas and visa files arrive regularly; most of them arise out of work permits and family matters.
| Document | For what purpose |
|---|---|
| Trade registry document and certificate of activity | Taking on work and representation in the country across the border |
| Work completion and qualification records | Tender applications |
| Financial statements and tax letters | Financing and tender files |
| Analysis certificate and dispatch paperwork | Shipment of mineral products |
| Vehicle, driver and policy documents | Cross-border haulage |
The commercial basis of the demand for Arabic and Kurdish
Arabic comes first here, and the reason is the route itself: in the counterpart country to the south the official authorities, the tendering bodies and the commercial parties all work in Arabic, so a firm’s paperwork has to be submitted in that language and in certified form. An English copy on its own is not enough for most tenders. Kurdish is in widespread everyday use in the province and is asked for in part of the correspondence between the parties and in site briefings. Some files call for an Arabic and an English copy both; where that happens it becomes critical that the two texts agree fully and that the same titles and definitions are used in each. You can check the forms of approval that apply country by country on the countries page.
The problems that arise most often while a corporate file is being put together:
- The company name written differently from one document to the next, which gives the impression of two separate parties.
- Documents whose validity dates differ, which can leave the file counted as incomplete.
- Project names in the work completion records translated inconsistently.
- Line items in financial statements given freely chosen names, which breaks the comparison.
Practical notes on vehicle and driver paperwork
Alongside the corporate files, vehicle and driver documents arrive regularly. These are short texts, but the margin for error has to be close to zero: the registration plate, the chassis number, the validity date on the document and the driver’s name are the first fields the check on the other side looks at. That is why we ask for a clear scan, with the edges of the document and the seals fully visible; a single character carried across wrongly from an illegible image can leave the vehicle waiting at the border crossing. Whether the driver’s name is spelled in the other documents as it is spelled in the passport is another point we check separately. For firms running regular journeys we fix this information once and use the same details on the files that follow. You can see the per-page fees on the pricing page.
Keeping to the tender timetable
Tender files are rarely complete before the final day, and the translation is left until last. So with the corporate files that come from Şırnak we first look for missing documents, then translate the whole set in a single hand; translations done piece by piece produce inconsistency. You upload the documents online, the fee and the delivery date appear at once, the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay, the electronically signed copy reaches your inbox the same day, and the wet-signed original is delivered to your address by courier. We have no branch in Şırnak. You can send your file through the quote form.
The information here is provided for guidance; in a process that runs remotely the original document may still be required. The requirement in force on the date of the transaction should be taken as the basis.
