Regional demand

The languages that stand out in Hakkâri

In the economy of Hakkâri it is cross-border trade, livestock farming and mountain tourism that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Hakkâri

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Hakkâri at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Hakkâri (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

Where the road is long, every step is expensive

Making a document official in Hakkâri carries a cost that follows directly from the geography. The province is mountainous, the distances between districts are long, and in the winter months travel conditions can turn unpredictable. Having a translation done and then going separately from one authority to another for notarisation and, where needed, an apostille can stretch a job that takes half a day in other provinces into several days here. That is why Hakkâri stands at the head of the provinces where working remotely is not a comfort but the condition on which the work remains possible at all. Uploading the document from where you are and having the whole chain of approvals completed in Ankara yields a far more tangible gain here than it does elsewhere.

What working remotely amounts to here

The process runs like this: you upload a legible image of your document online, the price and the delivery date appear at once according to the page count and the language pair, and the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay. The electronically signed copy lands in your inbox the same day; for many applications that copy is enough and there is no need to wait for the courier. If the wet-signed original is required, it reaches your address by courier. We have no branch in Hakkâri and we do not imply that we have one; what counts here in any case is not an address but being able to get a result without setting out on the road at all.

The documents that come from Hakkâri

Part of the files that come from the province relate to border trade: transport and dispatch papers, commercial invoices, company registry documents and supply contracts. A second group comes from livestock and farming businesses – veterinary certificates, sales contracts, subsidy application files. The third and largest group is personal: civil registry records, marriage and birth certificates, criminal record certificates, diplomas and academic transcripts, medical reports, powers of attorney. These documents are generally wanted for a visa, a work permit or a family matter abroad, and because almost all of them are tied to an appointment date, the timing becomes critical.

Planning around the winter

In certain months of the year travel in Hakkâri ceases to be predictable and courier times can lengthen. This has a direct bearing on planning for work that requires the wet-signed copy. It is why one of the first things we ask when opening a file is whether the authority you will be applying to accepts the electronically signed copy. If it does, the process closes the same day and becomes independent of the season. If a wet signature is a requirement, we give a realistic delivery time from the outset and take the possibility of a courier delay into account as well. If you tell us your appointment or final application date at the start, we will set the order of work around it and spare you an unnecessary wait.

Where the demand for Persian, Kurdish and Arabic comes from

Persian follows directly from the trade and transport line running through the south-east of the province; because the buyer, the haulier and the customs authority on the other side work in that language, the Persian copy of the shipping documents is the copy actually put to use. Kurdish is the widespread language of everyday communication in the province and is requested for part of the correspondence between the parties. Arabic comes up along the trade chain reaching southwards and in the administrative paperwork of families settled in the region; the Arabic copy of certificates and contracts is asked for by the authority in the receiving country. What the three have in common is that each is requested because a concrete procedure calls for it. You can see the rates on the languages page.

What you can do to save time:

  • Upload all the documents in one go; files that arrive piece by piece draw the process out.
  • Ask in advance whether the authority you will apply to accepts the electronically signed copy.
  • Tell us your appointment date at the outset so that we can build the delivery plan around it.
  • When taking a photograph, make sure the edges of the document and the seals are fully visible.

You can send your file through the quote form, and settle which service you need on the services page.
