The languages that stand out in Şanlıurfa

In the economy of Şanlıurfa it is irrigated agriculture under GAP, the food industry and cross-border trade that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Notarisation and apostille in Şanlıurfa

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Şanlıurfa at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Şanlıurfa (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

The new need for documents thrown up by irrigated land

What makes Şanlıurfa interesting in translation terms is the change of scale in agriculture. With investment in irrigation, the province has turned from a place producing for its own consumption into one producing in volume and under contract. That change generates documents directly: supply contracts signed with large buyers, import papers for seed and crop protection products, documentation for irrigation systems and agricultural machinery, product analysis reports and export certificates. To these are added the quality documents of the food processing plants. The second strand is the foreign national students drawn in by the higher education institutions in the province, and academic mobility. The third is the paperwork produced by the region’s trade towards the south.

What is in an agricultural export file

A typical export file holds a phytosanitary certificate, a residue analysis report, a certificate of origin, a commercial invoice, a packing list and the buyer’s contract. In these, the governing principle is that batch numbers and quantities agree with one another across every document; the agricultural authority in the buyer’s country will put a file that does not match straight into abeyance. On the input side, translations of labels and safety data sheets are required for imports of seed, fertiliser and crop protection products, and in these texts it is critical that the warning wording is not pared back. On the machinery side come the operating manuals, declarations of conformity and warranty terms for irrigation systems and harvesting equipment.

The second stream of demand the university produces

The higher education institutions in the province create movement both outward and inward. On the outward side, CVs, academic transcripts, publication lists and scholarship application files are translated; on the inward side, recognition applications, secondary school and undergraduate diplomas, and civil registry and residence papers. The two streams work like mirror images of one another but use different languages: outgoing files are predominantly in English, incoming files largely in Arabic. In academic texts what counts is that the names of institutions and titles are written consistently, and in student files that names and dates match the spelling in the passport. Sending every page of a transcript is another detail often overlooked; a missing page means the file being asked for again from the start. You can check which country requires which form of approval on the countries page.

Mistakes commonly made in agricultural export files:

  • Batch numbers that do not agree between the certificate and the invoice.
  • A product named generically in one document and by variety in another.
  • Analysis values that have been rounded, or their units converted.
  • Warning sentences in the safety data sheet that have been shortened.

The concrete reason for demand in Arabic and Kurdish

Arabic here is fed from two separate sources. The first is trade: the province’s agricultural produce and the output of its food industry are sold to the south and into the Gulf markets, and the customs and food authorities there want documents in Arabic. The second is administrative: the school, civil registry, residence and employment contract paperwork of the Arabic-speaking population settled in the region forms a steady flow. Kurdish, meanwhile, is in widespread everyday use in the province; information texts and the correspondence of cooperatives and producers’ associations are requested in it. English comes into play in exports directed at Europe, in academic files and in equipment documentation. The rates are set out on a single list on the languages page.

A delivery pattern that fits the harvest calendar

In agricultural exporting, documents are wanted on a timetable the produce cannot wait out. We therefore run the process entirely remotely: you upload the file online, the price and the delivery date appear immediately, the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay, the electronically signed copy reaches your email the same day, and the wet-signed original arrives at your address by courier. We have no branch in Şanlıurfa. We keep the certificate templates that recur through the season and use the same renderings for later batches; this brings down both the time taken and the risk of error. You can send your first file through the quote form.
