Onay & tasdik
What Is a Notarised Translation?
Certification by a notary of a translation prepared by a sworn translator, on the basis of that translator’s oath recorded at the notary office.
The notary certifies not the content of the translation but that the translator who signed it is sworn in that language and that the signature is theirs. Notarisation therefore raises the translation one step in the official chain of reliability.
It is frequently required for a share of domestic official procedures, and as the stage before an apostille for documents going abroad. Which documents need it, and the steps involved, are explained in our detailed guide.
