A translation carrying the certifications required for use with official bodies and procedures, and holding legal validity.
Unlike an ordinary text, an official translation is prepared for a specific purpose and carries the certifications the receiving authority looks for. That certification covers the sworn translator’s stamp as a minimum; depending on the procedure, notarisation, apostille or consular stages are added.
Civil registry records, diplomas, court papers, contracts and commercial documents are the typical subjects. Because the slightest inconsistency in a name or a date can cause a procedure to be refused, completeness of form matters as much as accuracy.
