Character-based Pricing
Setting translation volume by character count rather than by how the page looks, using the standard page as the unit.
In a character-based approach the measure is not how many pages a document spreads across but the actual length of the text inside it. The count excludes spaces, and volume is converted into standard pages on the basis that 1 page = 1,000 characters (excluding spaces).
This prevents documents that are widely spaced or tightly set from appearing misleading, and makes measurement objective. Our guide explains how the calculation works step by step.
