Regional demand

The languages that stand out in Konya

In the economy of Konya it is agricultural machinery, the automotive supply industry and food exports that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.

The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Official certifications

Notarisation and apostille in Konya

If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Konya at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:

Notarisation

The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.

Apostille — administrative documents

For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Konya (or by district governor's offices in the districts).

Apostille — judicial documents

For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.

Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.

For years now the files reaching us from Konya have fallen into two large groups. The first is the business that families settled in Europe, above all in Germany and Austria, still have in Türkiye: pension files, certificates of inheritance, powers of attorney, school enrolments. The second is the export paperwork of the city’s machinery and food producers. The two groups have nothing in common, yet the same thing decides the outcome in both: knowing what the institution receiving the document expects.

Files from families abroad, and German

Konya has for decades been one of the provinces sending labour to Europe. What that amounts to today is a flow of documents across the generations: the civil registry record in Türkiye of a grandchild born in Germany, the certificate of inheritance sought for a grandfather’s account in Europe after his death in Türkiye, the social security employment record to be submitted under bilateral social security arrangements. In these files German is not only a language but also a question of format; how institution names, date conventions and signature blocks are carried across has a direct bearing on whether the application is accepted.

The document language of industry

Agricultural machinery, the automotive supply industry and food production make up the export face of Konya. What these producers send us is usually not a single document but an interlocking file: a user manual, a declaration of conformity, notes on a technical drawing, a sales contract and a dealership agreement. On work of this kind, consistency matters more than the accuracy of individual sentences. If a screw goes by one name in the manual and another in the spare parts list, it is not the customer who notices but the customs officer.

The place of Arabic

Konya’s demand for Arabic comes not from tourism but from trade and education. Sales of machinery and food to the countries of the region generate contract and invoice translation; the movement of students through higher education in the city generates a traffic of diplomas, academic transcripts and student certificates. These two strands call for different registers: one commercial, the other administrative. You can compare which rate applies to which language on the pricing page.

Trade fair season and delegation correspondence

Konya’s industry opens outward largely through trade fairs and visiting buyer delegations. In translation terms this means a workload that piles up at certain times of the year: promotional brochures, product cards, stand copy, technical specification tables and the quotation letters sent out after the fair. In these texts fluency matters as much as technical accuracy, because the person reading may be a buyer rather than an engineer.

With delegation visits the work shifts onto more formal ground. Letters of invitation and of intent, non-disclosure agreements, correspondence on the dispatch of samples and preliminary protocols are all translated. The mistake we see most often in these documents is that sentences carrying an undertaking are softened into everyday language. In a letter of intent the difference between “will be considered” and “will be provided” can become a matter of dispute at a later stage; we therefore confirm the level of commitment with the client before translating.

Fair periods bring another matter to the fore: preparing the same content in several languages at once. A request for the English, German and Arabic versions of a product card at the same time is a common one. Running such work from a single source text and a single term list both prevents differences between the versions and lowers the total cost.

After a fair the files are usually updated: price lists change, new models are added to the product range. Because the term structure established in the first translation is kept, these updates do not call for translating everything again; only the sections that have changed are worked on, and the cost is calculated accordingly.

We keep no branch in Konya; the pension file and the machinery user manual alike are translated and approved at the office in Ankara. Since the two provinces are a day’s courier journey apart, what that means in practice is this: photograph your document and send it today and the wet-signed copy is usually with you the next working day, while the electronically signed version reaches your inbox the same day. If you are submitting digitally to an institution abroad, the printed copy most often never even comes into it.

What working remotely means for Konya

Konya is a day’s courier journey from Ankara. In practice this means that if you photograph your document and send it today, then once the translation and any approvals required are complete, the wet-signed copy is usually with you the next working day. The electronically signed version reaches your inbox the same day, with no waiting at all. If you are submitting digitally to an institution abroad, in most cases the printed copy never even comes into it. We would suggest checking on the countries page which approval is looked for in the country your document is going to.
