The languages that stand out in Kilis
In the economy of Kilis it is cross-border trade, agriculture and olive growing that stand out. That profile also shapes which languages and which types of document the translation requests from the province concentrate on.
The prices below are starting per-page rates on economy delivery; the tariff is the same for every language and does not change from one province to another.

Notarisation and apostille in Kilis
If we are handling the certification, you need not visit any office in Kilis at all. If you would still like to know where each step is completed:
Notarisation
The sworn translator's signature is certified by a notary. The fee is governed by the 2026 Notary Fee Tariff, is the same throughout Türkiye, and is a separate item from the agency's charge.
Apostille — administrative documents
For administrative documents such as civil registry extracts, diplomas and criminal record certificates, the apostille is issued by the Governor's Office of Kilis (or by district governor's offices in the districts).
Apostille — judicial documents
For judicial documents such as court judgments, the apostille is issued by the judicial justice commission in centres that have a serious crime court. Not every province has one; where it does not, the matter goes to the centre it is attached to.
Source for the notary fee: Official Gazette 30.12.2025 / 33123 — the official announcement. For the current list of notaries, see the Union of Turkish Notaries.
Heavy administrative paperwork in a small province
Kilis is one of the smallest provinces in Türkiye, yet the demand for translation coming from it is out of all proportion to the size of its population. The reason is where the province sits: being very close to the border concentrates commercial and administrative processes alike. Most of the files that reach us from here are personal and administrative documents, civil registry records, birth and marriage certificates, educational papers, employment contracts, and residence and application files. Alongside these come the commercial documents thrown up by farming and olive growing, and the paperwork of small-scale border trade. There is no need to overstate Kilis: the work here is not large industrial files but a great many medium-sized documents that have to carry the right approval.
How the incoming documents break down
On the personal and administrative side we receive civil registry extracts, birth and marriage certificates, diplomas and academic transcripts, criminal record certificates, medical reports, employment contracts and powers of attorney. The problem that arises most often with these documents is that the spelling of a name changes from one document to the next; which spelling is to govern has to be settled at the outset. On the commercial side there are the analysis reports of olive and olive oil production, establishment registration certificates, sales contracts and label texts. On the border trade side come commercial invoices, transport papers and company registry documents. By volume the first group is well ahead.
| Document | For which procedure |
|---|---|
| Civil registry and marriage documents | Residence, family reunification and administrative applications |
| Diploma and academic transcript | School enrolment and recognition |
| Employment contract | Work permit procedures |
| Analysis report and label text | Sales of olive oil and agricultural produce |
| Commercial invoice and transport papers | Border trade transactions |
Why Arabic is so dominant here
Demand for Arabic in Kilis runs at an intensity not seen in other provinces, and the reason does not reduce to a single heading. On one side are the long-standing trading and family ties with the settlements on the other side of the border; on the other, the steady flow of administrative paperwork produced by the Arabic-speaking population settled in the province. School enrolment, a civil registry matter, an employment contract, a health application: all of these call for official translation, and all of them recur regularly. Kurdish, as the other language used in everyday communication in the province, is asked for in a share of the correspondence between parties and of the information texts. You can see the per-page rates on the languages page.
Problems that come up often in administrative document files:
- The spelling of forenames and surnames differing between documents; a single rendering has to be fixed.
- Date formats getting mixed up, particularly in the order of day and month.
- Some pages of a document being left out when it is sent.
- Not knowing which authority will be satisfied with a sworn translation and which requires a notary.
The paperwork of small-scale trade
Trade in Kilis generally runs not on large container consignments but on small transactions that repeat frequently. On the translation side that creates a different kind of need: not one thick file but a great many short documents resembling one another. In work of this sort, storing the patterns that recur brings a real gain; by the second and third transaction the translation time falls noticeably and the cost comes down. The same holds for olive and olive oil producers: since the analysis report and the label text have almost the same structure in every batch, a template set up properly once needs only updating in the seasons that follow. You can compare which service you need on the services page.
Running many documents through in one go
Files from Kilis are often not a single document but a set belonging to one family or one application. In work of that kind, sending the documents together is an advantage for the price and for the consistency alike; we can only check that the names and dates agree across them when we see them all at once. The process runs entirely remotely: you upload the files online, the price and the delivery date appear at once, the sworn signature and, where required, notarisation are completed at our office in Ankara Kızılay, the electronically signed copy reaches your inbox the same day, and the wet-signed original is couriered to your address. We have no branch in Kilis. You can begin by uploading your documents to the quote form.
The account below is a general framework; what changes from province to province is not the tariff but only the logistics of delivery. Verify the detail with the institution to which you will submit the paperwork.
